Shanghai & Hangzhou : Sight Seeing Highlights

Shanghai 


Once a small town, Shanghai has since flourished and grew to become one of the most developed cities in the People's Republic of China. Today, this bustling and vibrant global city is not just a major financial center but also the busiest container port in the world.


Major Attractions in Shanghai

1.  Experience the Maglev Train from Shanghai Pu-dong Airport which is the first commercial high-speed Maglev line in the world where it can reach to 501 km/hour. It takes only seven minutes (1 way- 7 mins).

2. Madame Tussauds has nearly 80 wax figures, including Yao Ming, Johnny Deep, David Beckham, Tom Cruise, Micheal Jordan, Cecilia Chang and many more.

3. Shanghai World Financial Center is located in the center of the Zone with 101 floors above ground level and soaring to a height of 492 meter.  offering office space with cutting-edge specifications and all the functions expected of a world class international financial center and superb urban facilities which included world highest observatory and the 3rd sky high building in the world.

4.  Nanjing Road is the main shopping street of Shanghai and is one of the world's busiest shopping streets, around 6 km long. Do visit East Nanjing Road.

5.  The Bund Sightseeing Tunnel has a total length of 646. 7 meter and is China's first cross-river artificial sightseeing Tunnel.

6. Zhu Jia Jiao Water Village with the history of over 1,700 years and this ancient town is known as Shanghai's Venice because of the many canals that run throughout the town. Take a boat ride.

7.  Xin Tian Di is an outdoor mall development which incorporates traditional stone buildings (Shikumen or shikudoor) which is a modern shopping center. It's famous for its concept of constructions and retains the antique walls, tiles and exterior of the shikumen housing of old shanghai, while its interior embodies a totally different world if international gallery, bars and cafes, boutiques and theme restaurants.

8. Shanghai Art Museum  is a veritable treasure house of ancient Chinese art such as pottery, paintings, calligraphy and bronze.

9. Xiao Tao Yuan Mosque is the largest mosque in Shanghai.

10. Han City Plaza is one of the famous shopping malls in Shanghai. There were a lot selling all kinds of local products.

11. Shanghai Old Town is a Chinese traditional shopping area. Area also known as "Cheng Huang Miao", which is the oldest city area in Shanghai with history of 400 years. 

12. Other landmarks such as Puxi (Old Shangai and The Bund), The Lujiazui Pedestrian Bridge, Yuyuan Garden, Qibao Old Town, Pudong area (Modern Shanghai and skycrappers) and The City God Temple. These sights not to be missed.

Hangzhou

Hangzhou, also known as Hangchow. Hangzhou is the fourth-largest metropolitan nationally in Zhejiang Province in Eastern China.


Major Attractions in Hangzhou


1. West Lake is a freshwater lake in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province in eastern China. It is divided into five sections by three causeways. There are numerous temples, pagodas, gardens and artificial islands within the lake.


2.Phoenix Mosque  is one of the three oldest mosques in China, predated only by the Great Mosque of Guangzhou and the Great Mosque at Quanzhou. 


3. Hefang Old Road , also known as Qinghefang. The unique in this old town is a showcasing a variety of Chinese crafts, such as land-blown sugar candy, paper cutting and hand-made dough figurines. This streets is quite close to the West lake. It is the one and only best preserved urban area of ancient Hangzhou. It is also a historical cultural street.

  4. sy teringin nak pegi china tapi saya adalah masalah makanan sikit kalau nak pergi sana sebab saya jenis tak makan seafood..hehehe
